Mental Health Services
The Mental Health Program is designed to help patients understand the signs, symptoms and effects of depression along with other mental health issues. Depression is a debilitating illness characterized by profound feelings of sadness, hopelessness, guilt, irritability, fatigue, difficulty concentrating or making decisions, appetite and sleep changes, aches and pains and suicidal ideation which affect families and careers. Research suggests that in a given year, approximately 8% of Americans- an estimated 17 million adults- meets the American Psychiatric Association's criteria for depression. CAHN has developed a program to help meet the needs of the community with their mental health issues and provide hope. We provide individual and group therapy to help address these issues.
The Mental Health Center is staffed by two Licensed Clinical Social Workers, who provide therapeutic services along with a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, who provides psychiatric medication management both by appointment.
