The Mental Health Program is designed to help patients understand the signs, symptoms and effects of depression. Depression is a debilitating illness characterized by profound feelings of sadness, low mood and loss of interest in usual activities, also affecting affiliated families and jobs. Research suggests that in a given year, approximately 8 percent of Americans – an estimated 17 million adults – meet the American Psychiatric Association’s criteria for depression. CAHN has developed a program that will tackle this issue with appropriate treatment methods and follow-up sessions.

The Mental Health Center is staffed by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is available to help with issues of:

• Anxiety, worry, and fear
• Coping skills
• Communication skills
